Stewards Advisory Services utilizes an advisory council made up of believers in Christ within the assembly movement for general business input and spiritual guidance.

Daniel Mearns

Dan serves as an elder at Woodside Bible Chapel in Fanwood, New Jersey. He has a passion for evangelistic work in the country of India and makes frequent trips there to encourage and teach the saints. Dan also serves on the Board of Directors at Emmaus Bible College in Dubuque, Iowa.

Raised in an assembly in Montreal, Dan came to know Christ as his Savior at the age of 11 during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Dan attended a Bible conference in New Brunswick in September of 1974 where he met his wife Charlotte. Together, Dan and Charlotte have been blessed with three children and seven grandchildren.

Dan has a keen interest in documentary history books. His favorite pastime is being with his family, especially during the summer months – he treasures the time he spends with his grandchildren, finding great joy in their company.

In addition to serving on the advisory council of Stewards Advisory Services, Dan has over 55 years of expertise in operations management for a number of companies including Singer Sewing where he served as Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his going concern consulting firm, Dan was appointed as CFO of Sovereign Bank International in June of 2023.

Walter “Skip” Elliott III

Skip was born into a devout Christian home in Summerville, South Carolina, where he still resides today. From a young age, Jesus Christ played a central role in his life. At nine years old, he made the profound decision to accept Christ as his personal Savior. Skip was married to Cathy Ann Drost of Yonkers, New York in 1982. Together, they are blessed with four children—three sons and a daughter—each of whom has followed in their parents’ footsteps, embracing the Lord and serving in local assemblies. Skip and Cathy are proud grandparents to 13 grandchildren.

Skip’s business career has spanned various industries including sales and marketing management. His career highlights after graduating with a BS in Microbiology from Clemson University in 1977 include serving as CEO of the publicly traded company Envirometrics, Inc. before founding Elliott Marketing, LLC in 2001. Elliott Marketing was established to serve as a manufacturer’s agent in the construction products industry, a role he continues to enjoy alongside his son Matthew, covering Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

In addition to serving on the advisory council of Stewards Advisory Services, Skip is deeply committed to his role as a Trustee and the President of Stewards Foundation. His leadership extends across all of the Board’s Committees, where his influence and dedication continue to make a lasting impact.
